How does RevRE get data from my property management system and where does it end up?

RevRE connects to collect data from property management systems, extracts operational and financial data automatically on a daily cadence, and normalizes it into a consistent multifamily-specific data model. The standardized data is then delivered automatically to wherever your team needs it — the RevRE BI Tool, your own BI platform (Tableau, Power BI), a cloud warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery), or AI workflows.

What is an ETL, and what is the value of standardizing data?

An ETL is a three-step process — Extract, Transform, Load. You extract data from a starting source, transform it into a new format, and load it into a final destination. In practice, this is how data moves out of a property management system. An apartment building's operations generate data from every event that occurs, and the ETL pulls that data and collects it in one place. Once there, it can be combined with other properties' data — so an owner of multiple properties can report across an entire portfolio. The transform step is where the real work happens: standardization, normalization, deduplication, and cleaning. At RevRE, we run a series of ETLs to transform all PMS data into our data model — for true commonality.
